  Tour of Kangan Institutes Automotive Centre of Excellence (ACE) The Kanga
 n Visit group will leave Waurn Ponds on the first train after 9:00am on Fr
 iday 23rd October (Maximum of 15 Visitors). The MG Car Club will have the 
 opportunity to tour the Automotive Centre of Excellence (ACE) at Docklands
 , one of the most significant automotive training facilities in Australia.
  Established to bring industry, training and innovation together, ACE supp
 orts thousands of automotive students and apprentices each year while work
 ing closely with manufacturers, dealerships and industry partners.    So
 me ACE highlights include:  Behind the scenes access to apprentice trainin
 g workshops, including body trades and heavy vehicles. Walk through of ele
 ctric vehicle laboratories, including a sneak preview of their hydrogen fu
 el cell prime mover and hydrogen powered Toyota Mirai.  Largest specialise
 d automotive training facility in the Southern Hemisphere.  Purpose-built
  Electric Vehicle (EV) laboratory and advanced automotive technology train
 ing facilities.  World-class vehicle and engine testing facilities, speci
 alist workshops and purpose-built training laboratories.  Visitors will g
 ain a unique behind-the-scenes look at how the next generation of automoti
 ve technicians, electricians, body repairers and emerging technology speci
 alists are trained in one of the world\'s premier automotive education env
 ironments.   LUNCH We will have lunch after the visit at the Mail Exchang
 e Hotel on the corner of Bourke and Spencer St at 1:00pm.  Partners are w
 elcome to come along and do some retail therapy before meeting up at the H
 otel for lunch. We will then catch the first train after 3:00pm to return
